Except that we already knew that he lied about his affairs, on TV, when we voted him in office the second time.

Correction . . . affair-singular, with Jennifer Flowers-period. The American public was willing to forgive him for one indiscretion. If you or others knew of all his philandering/womanizing then you knew more than 99% of those that voted for him. I would be willing to bet everything I own that not only would he not get reelected today but he wouldn't get more than 35% of the vote either.

I dont care that he lied about affairs to cover up an embarrassing incident. I just dont care.

Then I guess you don't care about the federal judge in Trent Lott's state who was dismissed for committing perjury when he lied about a sexual affair in a civil case he eventually won. This matter goes far beyond lying about having sexual affairs. It goes to the very heart of our legal system. One does not have the right to determine for themselves what they will or will not tell truthfully when testifying under oath. Otherwise, I can just see the law of the future, when one is deposed to testify about a case involving sex then the deposed can say anything they want as determined by what they think is right or wrong and not be held accountable. Once on that slippery slope then where does it stop. I guess I'll just lie about my spouse abusing our children in a divorce procedure because I only have my child's best interests at heart, I'll lie about embezzling money because I won't do it again and it was to help my family and it would hurt my family to admit my crime, going to jail, and depriving them of my parentage, etc., etc. One can always rationalize away their misdeeds. That's why we are a nation of laws. There is no relative rationalization, there's just the truth, and there has to be consequences to not telling the truth while under oath in a legal proceeding.

I don't care about his sexual habits either, but I do care to what ends he will go to and who's life he's willing to destroy through his power to keep the truth from coming out in a legal matter. He is truly a disgusting human being . . . and it has nothing to do with sex.
