Gerry, don't tell me you have been around since Indata!. I thought I was a patient investor.....
In a period of a few weeks you have both boards foaming at the mouth. Steven himself stated in a WallStreet Forum presentation back in February 1998, that he expected to have 2-3 OEM's signed up by Fall Comdex and that they could ship 4-6million meters in 1999 and could probably ship more, if the backoffice could handle it. Than, in the recent TWST interview, Peter states that they have a clear path towards supporting 5-10million meters and don't see any show stoppers beyond that. So it appears, that Wave is now comfortable with their back office infrastructure to support a higher level penetration. I Additionally, 30 content providers wanted to be in the IBM meter debut, but there was only room for 15. And let's not forget the Spragues goal of getting a WaveMeter on every PC.
Between the coalition, OEM deals, content deals, Motorola, NSM, and other unknown partners there seems to be a lot of potential news just waiting to be announced.
If Monday is a good day, that is great. But, this party will be lasting for years.
Long and loving it. |
