I think you got it! Track/Oline suggested to set the virtual memory min AND max to 256. After I deleted Win386.swp then rebooted, it came back. Reset virtual memory back to the original configuration 0 min. no max, windows manages memory and deleted Win386.swp. After this reboot Win386.swp did not show up. This problem has been around for months causing many heart-ache's.
