Henry hello today. I wonder for the thread can you revisit the Continental Illinois crisis of the 1980 and tell us what derivative instruments were affected, what the total might have been, what the derivative instruments outstanding were?

... a bit of preamble for people here who don't know that Continental Illionos isn't an airline. Perhaps.

I am particularly interested in your take on this as military historian and in the time frames involved in the Continental Illinois crisis.

It seems to me that only military analogies are appropriate in the rescue operation that waged over this bank.

Hope you are well and thriving.
