Hi MeDroogies,
>>> Let him finish his term. Then lambaste the sucker. It's the right and fair thing to do. He won't have anything to do with his time afterward, anyway...who'd hire him? <<<
You have a relationship with the president, and you have planned out its future. Bon Voyage...
Everything that the president set in motion, through his actions, that would eventually come back, in one form or another, to harm him, was preceded by an activity that took place in his own consciousness.
This is also true for you. It is true for me. It is true for every human being. It is an inescapable reality of cause and effect, for all of us. If we are ever to truly understand the facts of our lives, perhaps even to change them, improve them, we had better find ways to understand the facts of our consciousness. This is where life begins, in our own consciousness.
This is how our groups and communities, our institutions, governments, and nations acquire their character, their histories. These things too have a consciousness. They are part of the ecological order.
Not only do we create the facts of our lives, and the emotions that will attend them, by what we think; it is also how we think. A different way of thinking (say, thinking from within a different context)produces different content, different facts, different mental realities. This is how external change comes about.
The psychotherapeutic disciplines, the spiritual disciplines, and even the new physics and quantum theory know they need to account for the influence of the context, the paradigm, if transformation is to be experienced or the old order maintained.
We may not like the simplicity of this, but it is similar to the old saying "Be careful what you pray for, you may get it."
Best, Charliss
PS...If any of us are having trouble with losses in the market, here is a tip from Dr. Alexander Elder....from his book Trading For A Living. Actually, this tip has been a well kept secret, until now:
"You have to change how you think in order to stop losing and begin your recovery as a trader." |
