I take your answer to mean that you now understand that the case wasn't filed that day. Would that be correct?
An illogical deduction. I addressed another point entirely.
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1998-- Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc. (OTC BB: AZNT - news) today announced that the Company has filed suit in the United Stated Federal Court, Case Number CVS9801247LDG (RLH), for the return of 4,480,000 free trading shares.
While it is true that the PR doesn't specify precisely when the suit in question was filed, normally the purpose of "announcements", sometimes referred to as "news", is to bring recent events to the attention of the public. After all, they wouldn't call it "news" if it weren't, would they? To offer a simple example of the logical extreme of this, what point would there be in "announcing", say, the signing of the Declaration of Independence in tomorrow's papers?
Certainly bmart made much of a supposed earlier lawsuit. But that one, you'll recall, had an entirely different case number--A380415--and Mr BM never quite seemed able to decide whether it was a federal case or not... |
