I had that problem at first. It turned out that my local phone line was to blame!! Just call your local company and ask them to check it out -- tell them you are having trouble with your online connection. Now the most I get is 42000, but it's plenty for me. I keep two windows going, one to surf the web and one with MBT going all day.
