OFF TOPIC Doug, From my perspective you're doing a good job of focusing on the core issues however my read of public mood is a bit different. I think there's little chance that impeachment hearings will not proceed in the House,a vote against a hearing is a politically risky position for a committee member to take, and also little chance that Clinton will resign despite the fact that I believe there is a consensus developing that he should resign. Perhaps you're right that the underlying issues have grave enough future consequences and that it's worth being dragged through the mud for months or longer in an effort to reach consensus.I certainly don't want to give the "moral majority" any more power than they already have. I guess that I'm hopeful that these things can be vetted without having to go through impeachment proceedings. I also think that Gore the Bore might be a good Prez.. dave
