. e-mail: FLEXF, BGEN, LBOR

FLEXF was already discussed. Here is a reprint. exchange2000.com

BGEN..As for BGEN..

Technicals: Stochastics show stock is OVERBOUGHT
STOCK did break double top P & F chart formation.
I don't expect to initiate a new position in this right way. I expect for the long haul this company should do marvelous. Avonex has 60% market share in the U.S.. And now its in Europe. There are new drugs in their pipeline. Value line says "surging Avoncex sales and growing royalty revenues should keep Biogen's profits rising strongly through 1999.

As far as fundamentals go however it has a estimate of $.47 versus $0.41 from last quarter. Revenues in the latest quarter, were up 39% to $135.8 million vs. $97.7 million EPS grew 57% to $.41 vs. $16 in the same period last year. It is rated a buy by OTC Insight, Timer Digest, Value Line gives it a "1" for timeliness. The Oberweiss report just gives it an immediate buy recommendation.

I became attracted to this stock when my mutual fund picked up a large amount of it. AMGN, CNTO and BGEN did very well as did AVEI, while at the same time brokerages and financials were stricken with 40-50% losses. Everyone who 'reassured' me that GE,LEH and MER would not drop that much were proven wrong. I think there will probably be a pop in the entire biotech sector. Perhaps its the time for the biotechs and oil services to shine if only briefly.

LBOR.. I'm disturbed about this stock.. look what happened with REXI it never really rebounded. If the allegations are true you could see LBOR trading at 6 or 7... I would not be buying up positions waiting for it to come back. I would take LBOR on a day to day basis perhaps a 1-2 day hold, but to actually invest in this would be extremely risky.
