It is interesting to see how many people "connected" to Bill Clinton have died in the past 6 years. Of course, if you've had a long career in politics, as Bill has, I'd wager you have "connections" to as many as 20,000 people, maybe more. Every year, 2 % of Americans pass away.
Over 6 years, it would be a fair guess that 12 % of Mr. Clinton's associates would pass away, because that's just the way it goes. That's 2,400 people. No wonder you can draw up such a large list. It can be done with anyone in politics, and even with most prominent people who lead active lives (ever see Six Degrees of Seperation?).
Of course, conspiracy theorists--blissfully (and sometimes willfully) unaware of statistics--have a field day with this sort of stuff. |
