Bob, eventho Dave has made prior trips to Mongolia, I'am guessing that they were more fact finding to find out what the situation was. I'am also guessing that all the parties involved now have a good idea where each, including themselves, stand. So its like all parties have agreed to meet, knowing that a settlement will be reached, and a lot of posturing and complaining and hold-fast and don't be bullied at the same time try to bully the other with predictions of collapse. I'am guessing that all parties already know what kind of agreement is acceptable and doable, but all know that if anyone showns any kind of weakness, that it will be exploited. So all parties take a hard position, not so much to get the upper hand, but to prevent others from seeing any weakness of theirs, which most likely all have some areas that they will compromise, but don't want to, and if the other side discovers this, then they got the upper hand. So I'am guessing that this has been happening since Dave arrived, and maby in days or a week or so, the hardness will decrease in the talks, and everyone will lower their positions at the same time, and the final agreed upon deal making will be the best results for a situation that is not good for anyone to continue "as is". The above thoughts I got today at food market. While waiting in the check out line I picked up Women's Day magazine and read the articl "How a man and woman interact after getting married". Doug |
