Jules,>>>The question is, what consequences do you think this will this have on INTC, and the rest of the stock market, over the next couple of weeks?<<<

Game, set, match. We all lose - except for the politicians - they never lose.

Tomorrow, Wall Street (ever the realists and not known for high moral rectitude) will treat the last 48 hours as a non-event.

The Republican party will abandon Starr and hang him out to dry. He will have served their purpose. But, they will never impeach President Clinton. They will never hand over the Presidency to Al Gore. They will send their congratulations to John Fowler and the like for they have been duped again.

Bill Clinton will serve out the remainder of his term of office and become the posterboy for every male high school dropout. He will be the butt of all sophomoric, animal house-type, jokes. He will command no respect anywhere he goes. He will continue to hit on hapless and helpless female subordinates. Hillary will continue to look the other way.

They will have another laugh at the John Fowler's of the world - they have been duped again.

Saddam Hussein will reverse the outcome of the Gulf War. The United States will be a helpless and hapless economic giant for at least till the end of the Clinton Administration.

Terrorists worldwide will celebrate.

We will conduct business as usual. Jay Leno will have enough material for another two years.

Thank you, John Fowler.
