I agree wholeheartedly with your viewpoint on Monica. Someone who is able to recall details that definite from 2-3 years before knew exactly what she was doing. I, too, thought she was a "poor victim" until I read through this Starr report. I am kind of curious as to why none of the staffers who felt Monica was a problem mentioned it to Hillary. Surely to goodness, whether they have a real marriage or not (my husband thinks it is a business partnership only), Hilary could have gotten rid of this young woman rather easily.
Also, I find it very scary that someone like this can get this close to the President. I didn't realize he was this accessible.
Now, if I had an affair with a married man, I sure as heck would not tell my mother. What kind of daughter have these people raised? Did they think this was acceptable behavior? I sure hope my daughters never act like Monica Lewinsky.
BTW, I am a Republican. I don't excuse what Bill Clinton did. However, knowing this weakness he had, was like waving candy in front of a baby. Lying about it and dragging this out though, is the worst. He should have just admitted what he had done. At least he would still have some respect.
If he was in any other public office or private company (unless he owned it), he would have already been gone.
It seems that there just are no heros to look up to anymore. What a shame. I am glad that my kids are not old enough to know what is going on and ask questions. I can't imagine trying to explain this to a 15-year old.
