Diver, I've been to Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Moorea. Tahiti itself is interesting but probably not the paradise you're looking for. It's best to move on to the other islands. Accommodations on Bora Bora are expensive expensive. Moorea is a gem. Huahine is another island in French Polynesia that is worthy of consideration. Also, as a diver (I assume) you should look into Rangiroa. The islands of French Polynesia are stunningly beautiful but not the best choices for people looking for nightlife or shopping. - Garet
