" You have a relationship with the president, and you have planned out its future. Bon Voyage..." I wish I understood this part.
As for the rest, I agree with you. Everything we do has ramifications, and it is up to each of us to learn from our actions.
My problem with Clinton is this: He has consistently shown that he DOESN'T learn from his failures. He just keeps doing the same stupid things over and over again, then hires good PR people to cover for him.
From my point of view, that is a very bad person to have as the leader of our country. Maybe you have lower standards, I don't know. Do we all make mistakes? Yes, but how many of us consistently repeat them?
Finally, I agree with my wife (a little) on one point. That is, we should hold our leaders to a slightly higher standard. Why? Because they provide direction and substance to our nation. If we don't hold them to AT LEAST basic standards of decency and action, then we basically think less of ourselves, and slowly lower our own standards. The funny thing is, WE HAVE BEEN lowering our standards, even as we have continued to lower the standards to which we hold our leaders.
As I said before, we get what we pay for...
BTW, I never pray for anything....I always plan ahead to get what I want. |
