"...KDD plans to begin testing a prototype system using the North American CDMA2000 standard for core cellular phone equipment next spring. The shift to cdma2000 comes just a month into the company's trials of wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems. WCDMA is the next generation standard accepted by European standards body ESTI earlier this year. The standard is backed backed by European vendors Nokia Oy and LM Telefon Ericsson AG as well as Japanese carrier NTT Corp...." Great News! (if true...) Does that imply they're dissatisfied w/W-CDMA?
