No offense to the SGI engineer, but sometime people go into a state
of subconscienous denial when they are too close to the company. Either they are too optimistic or too pesimistic, because their emotions are affected by events within the company. I
remember talking to some of the SGI engineer and their quote was the
R10k was going to kick Intel's butt, take away market, and the SGI would have a low end machine which will knock the PC out of the water. Neither of the two comments happened. It doesn't matter what the
opinions are. SGI must prove itself this quarter by coming out with
a knock out earnings report.
