I agree that is what the Republicans want. It suddenly pops into my head that an argument could be made that the Constitutional Convention, before our country was actually born, may have been the last time a group of diverse politicians got together and sincerely and effectively worked together in the long term interests of our nation.

I have said, I guess in other places, at this point I would just as soon see the Carville Wars ensue so that the dirt on as many of the 95% or so unindicted felons in Congress, Democrat and Republican alike, will come out. This would only provide a small chance of redeeming outcome, but that is better than none. (The 95% figure above is easily met if you accept corporate bribe taking as a criteria.)
