*AV*--To the point: Both IPEC and SFAM will probably both do very well as CMPO is embraced in the industry. I Think IPEC is the stronger of the two but I also believe that SFAM might be a better takeover target down the road. My inclination is a 60% - 40% split in favor of IPEC. This is just an opnion and not investment advice.

What is real intriguing is that the INTC 0.18u process going into production in 1999 along with the IBM copper process for 1999, will be the lead sled dogs to get CMP off the ground. The visibility here will carry forward I beleive.
