*AV*--Quite awhile ago, I came out with a late first to second quarter 1999 recovery for the sector. I then solidly put forth the late second quarter scenario. This was when the street was still looking at third to fourth quarter 1998 as the recovery. They seem to have slipped past me into the latter part of the 1999 calendar year.

I choose to hold tight on the late second quarter start of the recovery. For now, I would not be an investor but rather consider being a trader. The Semi stocks are volatile as you are well aware. If you were interested in this sector, I would play the stocks of your choice for some conservative profits as they do their roller coaster rides. We have talked about this before and have profited before doing this. the only thing that has changed are the lower trading ranges.
