Re : CIEN -- the day that the merger was announced, either the WSJ or the NYT mentioned in an article about how the venture capitalists had bought in at an average price of X (less than $1.00 a share), and now they would get whatever. As usual, when I was reading the article, I thought ... IF ... the deal closes. Venture capital (and risk arbitrage) is not as easy as some people think it is. Jon.
