Oracle Invests $500 Million in Partner Programs and Resources

NEW YORK, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- At a special event for 300 worldwide partners, Oracle Corp. ORCL today announced a new program that provides its partners with a clear roadmap to successfully develop their businesses and relationships with Oracle. The new worldwide Oracle Partner Program brings together all previous partner initiatives and new enhancements under one simplified and unified umbrella program.
The primary focus of the new program is to enable and support partners to leverage the growing Internet market opportunities and Oracle's leadership in this emerging market. Oracle's new Oracle8i, the world's first Internet database, serves as the platform for Internet computing and will allow partners to better leverage the Internet market opportunity.
Oracle's ongoing investment of more than $500 million in partner related programs and resources reaffirms its commitment to independent software vendors, system integrators, system vendors and resellers. The new program, designed to link partners to new business opportunities regardless of their target market; it's ideally suited for partners focusing on enterprise organizations as well as those targeting small to mid-size companies.

The new Oracle Partner Program, commencing in November, enhances Oracle's partnering strategy, while building on previous partner initiatives, including the successful European Certified Solution Partner Program. To meet differing partner needs, the program includes four levels of membership: Program Member, Certified Solutions Partner. Certified Advantage Partner and Global Partner. The program also encourages and facilitates partners to forge new business relationships by linking their complementary products together to deliver complete customer solutions.
