Thanks for the clarification, Spots. This was what I had originally thought. Now that I have 3 5.7 Maxtor 2880s along with my 11.5 gig (courtesy of the great Comp USA sale last week), I can devote 3 drives to my main machine, and I'm leaning towards 2 5.7's striped for performance and the 11.5 to backup and drive image the 5.7's. I'd still like to try RAID 1 at some point, but I gather I'll need a Fasttrak for that. Best, Dave
