When 50K people die in a police action it is a war. My brother served in the Vietnam war because he was drafted. He would have come home in a flash if they had let him. My hat is off to those who served honorably, and unwillingly during the Vietnam war. Westmoreland however was a liar of the first ilk. Johnson was a liar. The whiz kids were hung up on themselves and a lot of people who wanted to be somewhere else were injured or died needlessly including innocent women and children. It was not a war of national survival or a war to free the world of Hitler. I still do not fault Clinton for not serving in that war. I think it was a crock.
