LG:

I don't think that SI uses any cookies. I always ask to be prompted before I accept any cookie and I have never received any from SI.

If you are on a PC you can use one of the cookie-check programs to keep control over all cookies without having to answer all those annoying prompts (I use "cookie-pal" on my PC).

The hard-disk action you describe just sounds like some file-clearing action (W95 is known for the excess use of temporary files, etc.). I have certainly noticed similar symptoms, but they were never correlated with my use of SI.

It is almost certainly possible for an expert to get into your system when you are connected and check what you have on your hard drive (W95 has very poor security and Java, Javascript make things worse). But it is not all that easy unless you are an experienced hacker. I doubt that it is SI.

Regards,

Phil

I doubt that this rally will survive the afternoon. A 500 point rally is already more than the Clinton factor can really support. I would expect that some realism will return, when it becomes clear that the impeachment process will proceed.
