jach, I doubt it. CSCO (or anyone else) will not pay $30 for CIEN right now. And its unlikely Nettles will sell for less than $35. Cien is on its own for the next 6-12 months, and will try to fix its business model and sales strategy. CSCO or anyone other potential acquirer would rather pay a higher price and get a healthy business, than pay a lower price and get an unknown entity. This should be clear, and was TLAB's intention. Forget about quick moves to the $20 area. Nettles promised more contracts and better PR. Hmmmmm. Seems like smoke and mirrors to me. He also promised a lousy 4Q and '99. Unless there is some true "new" business, and not just announcements of contracts already signed, this stock will languish. Get used to it. gary
