Well, I got to thinking: "Eric accused me of making up my trades, has refused to accept that I've been right quite often and that the bulls wrong as often". mmhhh.... That speaks tonnes about the sort of person he is and the things he would do.

Taking this to its logical conclusion, I thought: I better go and check the posting from which he got my quote, as he cannot be trusted. So here is the full paragraph, on July 17:

I'll go out on a limb and say that we might see yet again another quarter of flat revenues, to be followed by a stellar december quarter.

That already reads quite differently. Now read the preamble:

Now we know. It gapped down slightly. About revenues next quarter, I think sales of G3s are decreasing, as the installed base that was about to upgrade already did. The iMac will hopefully reach another segment of the Mac user base that found the G3 pricey. Meanwhile sales of low end G3s will decrease in expectation of the iMacs. Will the AIO and PBs be enough to compensate for lost sales? Will the iMac have enough time to save this quarter? (I think Anderson said, iMacs will mostly impact next quarter, not this).
