simple narrow view for high-tech; in the high-tech arena without good people (engineers) shareholders are history Yes, I agree 100%. But what does this have to do with how much CSCO (or someone else) might pay for CIEN? In order to take care of and retain employees in down times, companies simply re-price options. Companies that truly believe their stock is undervalued, accompany the re-pricing of options with a share buyback. This keeps both shareholders and employees happy.
