Raymond James Norris,
I'm sorry you took my post to you as being so hostile. I did not mean to come across that way. I do admit to be skeptical of TA, but I think I have a right to state that opinion and challenge any one's opinion on it.
Note, I am not saying that I totally disregard TA. Also, I did in fact enjoy your post and it made me think of some things in a different light.
One of the things I try to get out of SI is to get other viewpoints and to get feedback on my own viewpoints. I and others here probably have a lot of $$ at stake, so it's in my interest to listen to all the criticism that comes my way, as long as it's based on reason and not overly offensive.
At the moment, I won't get into anymore of the nittygritty about FA vs TA, since I don't have time at the moment, but it is a debate worth going through that would greatly benefit myself and many others I suspect.
>>If you don't believe it, please don't make an issue of it.<<
I do want to make clear that anything that you or I post is free game for examination. If I think something is wrong, I will say so. If I say something wrong, I sure hope somebody will try to say so, to me, in a reasonable way. I may end up saving myself a lot of $$. My main gripe around this thread sometimes, is that I prefer when people give reasons to back up their thinking. You may be absolutely right about your analysis, but I am not going to put a nickel of my $$ on it, unless I understand and agree with it.
I don't look at this thread as a 3Com voting poll.
So, yes, if you don't want to expand any more on TA, that's you're right, but I probably won't do much with the idea unless I whip out my TA analysis book which I have already done plenty of times.
Also, if you want to expand on why you think TA works and can explain COMS price behaviour, I think you have the right to do so, and I for one would be more than willing to listen to your explanations. I strongly consider this the place to do so, and I strongly feel that it is very relevant to the subject of COMS.
