So true. I think, although we disagree on BC, that we both have become very jaded politically. Why hasn't everyone? Everything is political, not for the good of the people...its survival, not statesmanship, and its spin, not truth. No wonder so few citizens don't bother to vote. I wonder REALLY...how many people who read this thread and howl to to moon, have even bothered to show up at a precinct meeting after a primary?? I do every time, unless I'm out of town. Even despite that, I have been a delegate to to senatorial convention 8 times and the state convention 3 times. This year, although we were delegates to state, we barely showed. The Religious Zealots have such control...although most Reps don't agree...they don't attend precinct mtgs either, so the Zealots win all votes and control the whole damn thing. No one knows HOW to organize the sane people, as we don't have the mesmerizing pulpit from which to direct the Stepford Wives...and others. Excuse the complaint...I just had to let go....and I figured you would understand. BC makes me sick....I don't want him to be a partisan victim, but I really believe he has overstepped all acceptable boundaries....like, what do you tell your kids....even if they are adults??? How does his cabinet and other 'friends' choose between loyalty and their own morality. I'm very glad its not MY choice to make. I find it so horribly embarrasing for the US. On our trip to New England...14 on the trip...all Republicans...not planned that way...various degrees of conservativism...but all ashamed of what we have been thru and are facing. Someone said how much it would spare the whole country if he would be a MAN for once, responsible for once, and resign...and apologize to Hillary and Chealsey in public...do something for the youth of our country. Enuf said. I haven't even read the other posts here, probably won't...very tired of it all...and him. Thanks for all, pezz. Sorry to be so down. |
