Talking about VLSI do you realize that mr. VLSI is now trading
at slightly above cash value - another "free" company.

Of course what do I know - just yesterday I said that WJ, FSII,
LRCX and SFAM could be toast and just today 3 announcements:
WJ gets a big order from Samsung
FSII makes noise about being in business 25 years and being well set
LRCX announces a share repurchase...

(on cue and eeriely funny <gg>)

I think I recall saying that VLSI was cheap at 17 or 18 or so.
NSM was cheap at 20.
The semi-equip downturn would "end" viz a viz stock prices when SVGI
hit the prior low at around 15.

Ha Ha Ha...

----

One thing that I always find amusing is how these semis regardless
of what they do act alike - just saw that Burr Brown (a very good
company) anticipates sales down that famous 5 to 10% number that LSI,
then VLSI and before that ADI (they have a different reporting
period) reported...

----

What can I say about cable connections but they are always ON
and always vulnerable? heh heh heh...

----

And what can I say about Mr. President but he's clearly been smoking the wrong things these days - did note that he wants to rev up
the world economy... by getting everyone to buy "specially coated" cigars (whatever that means) ... if he does get the economy going chip stocks will the first to surge... at least some things in life do remain the same...
