Marcos: I'm sure it is irrelevant now, but E. Charters was using words like Gooks, Camel Jockeys, etc... to illustrate his point. You have probably heard these words said out loud, and possibly other words from your ethnic background in your life. They are in poor taste and inconsiderate references, and at the maximum they are generalized words meant to breed hatred and misunderstanding. Nonetheless, when coupled with comments that support killing every man, woman, and child of Arab, or Asian origin, then I think that should answer the racist question. This was not figuratively speaking nor amusing, and several of his posts that stated this were deleted from the GPM.

Perhaps, where I took offence the most is that as a Catholic Arab, I was included with all the fanatics and radicals on the death list. Fanatics and radicals may seem all over the place in the Middle East from a TV standpoint, but in reality, it is grossly exaggerated. When I tried to explain to Eric that he was ill-informed about the Middle East and that his use of ethnic slurs was inappropriate, he returned with more.

A sense of humour is fine to have, and Eric does make some valid points, but his message is clouded with his choice of words.

No malice intended.

Regards, Wisam
