Marty,

Just landed in Calif today and will be in the states for 2 weeks. Re; your questions. I do not believe RDRT is shipping anything to Seagate at present though I am not sure about tape heads. Seagate makes most of their own MR tape heads but could be getting some from RDRT for all I know.

<What percentage of Fujitsu's, Samsung's, Maxtor's and Seagate's business would RDRT have to pick up to make up for loss of all of WDC's business at the GMR level?>

It would take some pretty fancy speculation to answer this question and I am not sure what the point is. First we don't really know how much GMR business WDC is going to have. But it is important to understand that the WDC/IBM deal is confined to desktop (related to the Yahoo post question). That means all those drives from the Caviar family which range in capacities from 2 - 10 Gbytes. What we do not know is what IBM designs will WDC be building for IBM in the desktop range. These have not been announced yet. That gives RDRT a shot at any WDC Enterprise program.

Best,
Stitch
