Dear Howard,

Immunex has been around for a long time and has in fact changed hands (majority shareholder) several times. I don't think they are up to much, and in fact had the distinction of being the company which lost the most money per employee two years back. This lawsuit with Cistron about IL-1 now really publicized an already well known fact (at least in academia) that this company has questionable ethics and collaboration with any of it's scientists should be avoided. To steal and patent something from a review manuscript is the ultimate form of plagiarism; we are not even suppose to discuss papers that we are reviewing with anybody else.
