Bede,
I believe you are mistaken about the ECN fees. Seems to me it's not $15, but more like $1.50, plus CT has direct access to various ECN's (making you faster than other traders) and also shows the complete Island Book on any NASDAQ stock, allowing you to see more of the market for that stock than other traders do. There are more very powerful features incorporated within CT, too, that you seem to have overlooked.
With all due respect, my impression is that you overly concerned with saving pennies on commission than making dollars on profits. What is it they say, "penny-wise and pound-foolish," something like that. I submit that worrying too much about the commission misses the point. You should focus on the the good trades. And, CyberTrader finds them for you better than any other platform. Period. Gotta ask yourself, though, are you really in this business to find the lowest possible commission (see Datek or SureTrade), or to find good trades and make serious dollars?
It is clear, though, where your interest lies and I wish you well with whatever you do. But, did you ever take my original advice and call CT to review their fee schedule, or are you just relaying inaccurate rumors you've heard elsewhere? CT never claimed to be the cheapest brokerage around. Plenty are cheaper, and you gotta wonder why. But they are priced fairly and offer tremendous value and a very competitive edge that you could use to your immediate benefit.
