Yes, I remeber the posts about CPQ, another good call.
Yup, passed the Series 7 bokerage exam the day after Thanksgiving
and as is getting common with me, I have a another job in different field, technical support. I sent out some resumes to brokereage houses
and got a few interviews but nothing interesting so I took a long
term temp job supporting Tax software. The pay is actually a little higher than what I would expect as a new broker.

I guess for the broad market there is an eye on the Mutual Fund inflows in the first few weeks of the new year. Last January when I
was working for Schwab in the mutual fund dept. we were busy for the
first 3 weeks of January. The odds are stacked against another run
up but I personally don't see a decline of more than 10% for the broad market barring unforeseen calamities. (Disruption of oil supply, Chinese or Japanese dumping bonds for internal reasons)

Do you find the -g- more aesthetically pleasing than the <g>? -g-

<<Anyway, I don't see a general market rally at this time, at most test previous high on djia, till at least middle of Jan. I also think lower than last few days' lows are in order between now and mid-Jan.>>

Careful, you may acheive Guru status at SI. <vbg>
No pay, tons of work. -g-
