Michael - You've got your technology a little mixed up. 248-nm is DUV, 193-nm is XRL. Yes - the DUV technology is being "stretched", however, I doubt it takes another 5 years for XRL to become more popular.

Regarding CYMI:
>>>>>>However, the stock has plummeted below $10 because the industry is just not ready for their advanced tools (damn asian flu!). 243-mm light sources are still being stretched to their limit.<<<<

The reason for Cymer's stock price dropping -- they've had a number of Class Action lawsuits filed against them - charging "hyping" of the stock by company officers, who then sold heavily into the rising stock price.

There are a LOT of disgruntled investors in CYMI. Since I have followed their SI board, I've never ceased to be amazed at some people over there who STILL are claiming CYMI will one day go to 200! More realisticly, by the time all these Class Action suits are settled, other technologies are more than likely going to be coming to the forefront, making DUV less essential.
