Very nice analysis

<If they meet estimates I am in, if not, I'm out>

The problem is that if they do not meet estimates, it will be very difficult for anyone to get to the exit fast enough to prevent being burned. The stock would make dramatic new lows and establish a new lower trading range. I don't think that anybody on this thread could get to the exit quicker than the Street can. Am I wrong?

So you have to look for something other than estimates to decide what to do. That is why I focus on the reception given new Novell products, such as the forthcoming Kayak, their ability to use their marketing to shorten the product cycle and respond to the market, and their infamous PR problems.

They have produced new products but they haven't introduced them well. They haven't fixed the marketing and PR problems. They haven't selected a new CEO. There are a lot of haven'ts.

Therefore one must consider that waiting until February to decide, and of course there is Greenspan, is potentially waiting to be burned.
