bp....I realize that written quickly and taken just as is has the quick Nazi response lined up. But my views were formed after listening to the head of the neo-natal clinic at our county hospital...the great institution that tried to save JFK. He explained very carefully and gently the dilima we have but the medical profession into with legal battles and EXPECTATIONS. In all our own history...not Germany's....doctors did not take extraordinary measures when they percieved the outcome....its was their appointed role and duty until the RR, lawyers, and medicare all wanted a say. I say you are paying for it with the lack of gentleness and kindness in society were kids can't even play outdooors anymore. Then a futurist spoke to a Unitarian group...and I was invited. He had worked a lot with Carl Sagan. He also told us of the dangers of not meeting moral dilemas head-on because of all the advances already available in the medical-scientific community. RR's stick their heads in the sand...and we all suffer their consequences.
