SCSI question: scanner-controller-CD-rom termination?

I'm in the final stages of getting my system debugged, but am still getting a BSOD with the following message:

stop 0x0000004E (0x00000002, 0x00005be7, 0x00007fff, 0x00000f00) PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I may be wrong, but am guessing it has to do with issues involved in running my scanner and internal CD-Rom drive from the same NCR 810 SCSI controller. I have the scanner terminated on one end, and a jumper on my DS-503S CD-rom (that came with no documentation, unhappily--a risk on onsale.com sometimes) that reads "termination-short off" unjumpered (was jumpered). I think this terminates at both ends, which I should do given that the controller is in the middle?

This is the first time I've used SCSI for internal devices, so I may have something wrong. Pointers to a good FAQ would also be appreciated.

Dave
