Gary,
The 1500 to 2000 machines is a number that has been passed around by a number of people and is based on various official and unofficial rumors/conversations with company officials. It has not appeared in any press releases.

The concept is that, based on probable or reasonably expected contracts for Thunderbolt Bingo, the company could negotiate and maximize economies of scale both in terms of the financing and production of the equipment if a sizable number of machines were produced. This larger number would require larger financing which would be more readily available once a system were installed and it could generate proven and probable income.

Bottom line, no-one has officially announced 1500-2000 machines as the expected initial production target. That is a goal if both financing and expected orders fall into place. IMO it won't be the orders that may be the problem but more likely the financing. All that said, it appears that the financing is moving along.

How's that for a slippery, non-specific staff response. (20 years in the army was not wasted)
