Thomas,
Let me try to give you an answer.
God is perfect. His word, the bible is perfect. Therefore, what he must say in the bible is perfect.
So, concluding, whatever he says or does is perfect. Even establishing rules on slavery. You do not doubt perfection, do you? Otherwise aren't you saying you are better than perfect?
So my original point to Mark is this, you judge God who is perfect? Or you doubt God is perfect because you judge is word not to be perfect. Either way you put yourself above God, by judging him or his word. Does that make sense?
God Bless, Steve
