Barb, not sure what Cramer thinks about CIEN, but he liked TLAB at yesterday's price, it seems. TLAB - pre-announced a possible penny shortfall in this quarters earnings, and comfortable with analysts estimate of 2.35 for next year. CIEN - pre-announced a bad 4Q and tough '99. Problems with TLAB may come more than a year out, if ever. Problems with CIEN are with us today. TLAB does seem to be at a good price here with substantially less risk than CIEN, IMO. gary
