I won't ask... :-) Apparently they're controlling the bit rate on the encoder so that they get 1 hour of video per gigabyte of hard disc space. I wonder how that will work for sports or action scenes? Maybe they will let you turn on an option for variable bit rate recording. I'm sure that you noticed that the box has the capability to simultaneously record and playback. Hmmmm..... Gee, if I could just do this with my PC.. Hook it up to my TV and... Naaahhh, I must be dreaming!
