As in most everything in life, the issues regarding the IMF, IMF funding, and Soros are not black and white.

First, Soros - no matter what you think of the man, is a progressive thinker and a promoter of global free markets. He also is a philanthropist. He also is a savage player. Capitalism is all about self-interest incentives. Don't condemn the man for hitting the pitches that are thrown.

Second, the IMF does need to be redefined. It absolutely is culpable of moral hazard in its disbursement policies.

Third, The middle of a global crisis is not the time to overhaul the IMF model. It is time to take notes and build conviction for changing the model. That is what Soros is advocating on the hill in my opinion. Use it for what it can give now, then at first opportunity improve the model, as an improvement is past due.
