I don't know where you got your numbers from, but LRCX never had a stock market capitalization of anywhere NEAR $80 billion.

Looking at the long-term chart, as you suggested, showed that LRCX once traded for close to 8 times its current value. That means LRCX once had about a $3B market cap.

There is a very big difference between $3B and $80B.
