Rationalizing Justification... the Presidency hasn't changed over the years, we have. In times past there was honor in not pursueing poeple's private lives. I'll repeat that.. there was honor in NOT pursueing people's private lives.

President Roosevelt's wife was rumored to be a lesbian... but there was honor NOT to go there because it was a private issue. Kennedy's affairs were NOT considered a public right to know. Think of how the death of Lady Diane is similar in character to the implaccable pursuit of Clinton by Starr like her pursuers. In past times demanding the testimony of a sitting President wouldn't have happened... there would have been honor NOT to go there.

Its a new disease we suffer from, as much as we suffer the private acts of this President. Jerry Springer TV has us gawk open mouthed, but its always been there since time began.

There is a new paparazzi code of pursuit that "all's fair" when it comes to any means of looking at, judging, showing, displaying prying into people's lives... pushing through the closed curtain with cameras firing, with reporters and a goon squad of moralists, kicking in locked doors... then claiming in a loud voice.. "Well, if there's nothing to hide, then you shouldn't be afraid."

We have all been brought down by this..
