Jacob,

I mean this sincerely when I say it; your profession is showing through. I appreciate your obvious concern and thoughtfulness.

I am about as cold blooded at this as anyone you will meet. I regret not having acted at 36 when I was certain of the direction and pulled the plug after 2.5 years. Now I jump in and fight a feeling of silliness, knowing I have been slow. Nevertheless, I feel AMAT is set up for the final breakdown, through a price that causes everyone to reevaluate their position. I will probably cover at 28 if I am wrong, and under 20 if I am right. Mainly I want to balance my current equity position, which doesn't reflect what I believe can occur in the next 120 days. I have/will short others, too, and do index puts.

I don't embarrass too easily so I posted my activity to get this kind of response. It helps to get feedback.

I believe that I see some things occurring that aren't factored into market prices, even after this drop. If I am wrong I will act quickly.

The key is to protect resources even when making a mistake.

Thanks for your thoughts.
