(NMS:MXWL) today announced record sales and earnings for its fiscal 1998 fourth quarter, ended July 31, 1998. Sales for the quarter were $35.7 million, a gain of 33% over sales of $26.9 million in the same period a year ago, resulting in a 102% increase in net income to $2,494,000 from $1,237,000 last year. Diluted earnings per share rose by 56% to $0.28 from $0.18, on 33% more shares.
