Thanks for the post. I note this paragraph from it agrees with a post that I made to you on another thread:
"On the year 2000 issue, Clark believes there is a possible surge in PC demand as retooling of both software and hardware is required to solve problems. He thinks this hurt us in 1997 and 1998 as IS budgets were diverted to software purchases."

I think that in the past PC sales have been reduced as money was diverted to software, because software takes longer to fix and is more unpredictable. I think the next 12 months PC sales will accelerate as people eliminate older units before the end of the next year. It was worth delaying the PCs as they get cheaper with passing time, and the fix is instant.

I also note that the article predicts doubling of production of DRAM by the end of the year due to shrinks at leading fabs. I expect that MU is on this path, along with the Japanese and Seimans. I wonder in Korea has the bucks to do it? If not, they will be out of the game.
